We took a seven day cruise to Alaska in July. We had two delayed flights and missed the ship. We had to stay in the first port of call (Ketchikan) for two days waiting for the ship to arrive. We we not impressed with cruising but we did enjoy the scenery. We have decided we will go back to Alaska but we will definitely never take another cruise. We are very unhappy with both Continental Airlines and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Neither company seemed to care that we are unhappy with their service---

Tommy took this picture at Herring Cove. There were eagles everywhere in Alaska. Don't be shocked but they are not "regal" or "majestic" they scavenge

This glacier is one of many we saw

Ice bergs as we travel up the Fjord. It is difficult to capture their true size on film

Look at the size of this slug! That is the tip of my tennis shoe for comparison!

As you know, Alaska is far enough north that they get 6 months of "daylight" and 6 months of "darkness". This picture was taken at 11:35 PM.

Here is where we stayed while we waited on our ship to come in!

The town of Prince Rupert turned their WWII ammo dump into a botanical gardens. It was beautiful!

These fishermen were proud to show off their halibut in Prince Rupert

Tommy talks to the taxi driver that took us out to Herring Cove to see the salmon. We were hoping for a bear, but didn't see one

We took a whale watching excursion in Juneau. We got to see a small pod of Killer Whales. This is the bull of the pod.

This was taken on our trip up to White pass. I really like the shot
